Onur Ertürk is a Professional Tour Guide, licensed by the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism, and registered with the Chamber of Tour Guides in Ankara. He graduated from Bilkent University in Ankara with a degree in Archaeology and History of Art. He studied a wide range of archaeological and art historical fields of the Ancient Near East, especially Mesopotamia, the Aegean, and Anatolia. Onur joined several archaeological excavation campaigns in the southeastern parts of Turkey, one of the richest and most frequently settled regions, home to some of the oldest human settlements in the world.

Onur participated in the following archaeological excavation campaigns in Turkey: Tilbes Höyük (Sanliurfa -1998) Kinet Höyük (Hatay-1999), Kinet Höyük Excavations Study Season (Hatay-2000), Saraga Höyük (Gaziantep - 2002)

The Hittites A Journey of Culture from Past to Present.

He presents Hittite history, art, and archaeology in the light of recent scientific research and discoveries. Drawing on archaeological evidence, he demonstrates the cultural continuity in Anatolia from the Hittite period to modern times.

He also worked as a monitoring archaeologist for the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan Crude Oil Pipeline Project between 2002 and 2004. He conducted archaeological surveys, monitoring, and identification of archaeological settlements and artifacts along the pipeline route from Ceyhan to the Sivas area, covering approximately 350 km. During the construction, he discovered several archaeological structures and settlements, ensuring that pipeline work did not harm these sites and enabling rescue excavations where necessary.

Onur has also guided Turkish tour groups in several foreign countries, such as Austria, Hungary, the Czech Republic, the Balkan countries (North Macedonia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Albania, Croatia, Montenegro), and Uzbekistan in Central Asia.
