The HITTITES: A Journey of Culture from Past to Present.
The
book represents information about the Hittite Civilization based on
recent archaeological research and discoveries. It gives information
on some of the new archaeological excavations at the Hittite sites,
history, art history and some of the cultural traditions of the
Hittites which are still continuing in modern Turkey and even different
parts of the world. There are examples based on Hittite relief
sculptures and art objects that show similar uses of ancient
aspects still surviving or used until recent years in modern Turkey.
Such
as, some dances, marriage traditions, musical instruments, bread and
its holiness, marriage, some mythological stories, falconry, etc. The
book is in Turkish now, however, the English version is coming out in
the following months.
